52. Lewis6 Berrier  (Phillip5 Berrier, John George4 Berrier, Charles Berger3 (Barrier, Berrier), John George2 Berger (Barrier, Berrier), Martin Luther1 (Berger, Barrier, Berrier) was born April 11, 1821 in Davidson County, North Carolina, and died May 18, 1891. He married (1) Susannah Louise Waggoner , daughter of DAVID WAGONER and CATHERINE LOPP. He married (2) SALLIE CHAMBERLAIN January 20, 1868 in Davidson County, North Carolina.

Lewis Berrier Served as a soldier in the Confederate States of America as listed in the Roster of "Carolina Rangers", Co. B, 10th Regiment, Virginia Cavalry, CSA.  He is listed in the Roster of the "Carolina Rangers" along with his brother, Thomas Jefferson Berrier.  The unit was known as "The NC Rangers". The unit was from Davie and Davidson County, NC and was headed by Captain William B. Clemmons from Davie County, NC.  Hiram Berrier was the Company Clerk. This unit burned the summer home of U.S. Postmaster General Blair in Silver Springs, MD.  Four Berrier's are listed in that regiment as:
